The UNFPA response in the region aligns with the 2030 Agenda, WHO global strategic preparedness and response plan, UN-coordinated global humanitarian response plan, the UN framework for socio-economic response to COVID-19, and the UNFPA COVID-19 global response plan. UNFPA is working in humanitarian and development contexts in the Latin and Caribbean (LAC) region, actively participating in UN system support to national governments’ response to COVID-19 as the pandemic spreads rapidly.
