The National UN Volunteer Expert (External Engagement Analyst) will:
-Support the mapping of Resource Mobilization partners of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Latin America and the Caribbean, to create a Competitive Landscape Analysis, including the management and alignment of UNFPA platforms.
-Conduct donor research and market analysis to support resource mobilization strategy implementation at RO, SRO and CO level.
-Create a database of potential Resource Mobilization partners in Latin America and the Caribbean, including that of private sector, multilateral banks, humanitarian organizations, among others -Collect information and support the analysis and identification of trends of the funding and financing environment in Latin America and the Caribbean to identify new resource mobilization opportunities.
-Support the Regional Office and Country Offices in developing donor pipelines and submitting proposals to existing opportunities following a data-driven approach.
-Conduct donor intelligence and analysis to build, maintain and expand partnerships.
-Track and consolidate information on project/programme pipelines and corresponding funding needs and gaps through close collaboration with programme teams
-Analyzes resource mobilization data at RO, SRO and CO level, as well as, external market data and produce reports, analysis and presentations to support decision making with a data-driven approach
-Facilitate knowledge build and knowledge sharing by collecting and organizing best practices within and outside UNFPA.
-Support and enhance relationships with partners and organizations, and other key influencers, to advance the external engagement with the UNFPA's mission.
